Rita Kernodle

Rita Kay Kernodle (Townsend) resident of Jenks, Oklahoma passed away on April 11, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 74. Rita was born on April 22, 1945, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma the daughter of Thomas and Mildred Townsend (Griffith). Rita was a one of a kind who had a sparkling personality. One of her most valuable things, was her family. In her spare time, she loved being with her church family, watching movies, listening to her favorite music artists including Elvis Presley and loved to be around babies and spending time with the love of her life Mickey. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She also worked as a Hairstylist in Cosmetology.

She is survived by her husband; Mickey of the home, one daughter; Michele and husband Jay Klahr of Broken Arrow, one son; Mitchell Kernodle of Jenks, two brothers; Tom and wife Linda Townsend, Arnold and wife Evelyn Townsend, and three grandchildren; David, Matthew and Jonas Klahr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Thomas and Mildred, her brother; Garry Townsend and a sister; Eula Conrad.
