Robert "Bob" John Pyle

Robert (Bob) Pyle, 79, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, went to be with Jesus on Friday, November 21, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on a farm in Beatrice, Nebraska, to W. W. “Shorty” Pyle and his mother, Thelma Irene Walsh Pyle.

Bob loved his family the most in life. His son, Robert (Robb) Pyle was his best friend and his favorite daughter-in-law (DIL), Melissa, was the daughter he never had.

He traveled a lot and lived in Nebraska, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and then settled back here on a farm in Oklahoma.

Bob was preceded in death by his father W.W. “Shorty” Pyle, Mother, Thelma Irene Walsh Pyle, sister, Jeanette Eavns, and a niece, Janine Kelly.

He is survived by his son Robert (Robb) Pyle, daughter-in-law, Melissa (Missy) Pyle, brother, Roger Pyle, 2 grandchildren, Bradley Pyle and Samantha Cave, and her husband Bill, 2 great-grandchildren, Zoey, Stephen, and James, niece, Brandy Pyle and nephew, Jason Marley.

We will greatly miss him. He had a heart of gold.

Bob was a very proud Vietnam Veteran that served in the United States Navy and a very proud American.
