Robert Childress

Robert Dean Childress the son of Lionel and Thelma (Myers) Childress was born July 14, 1953 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 27, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 14 days.

Bobby was a laid back guy who enjoyed life and all it had to offer. He enjoyed fishing and watching Nascar. He loved spending time on the Illinois River and loved floating with Rob and Janice. He always said the best time to float the
river was in the fall of the year so you can actually see all of the beauty that it has to offer. He was a story teller and loved to sit and tell stories. Cooking was something that he took pride in, and he had the patience to make everything
just perfect. Motorcycles were his go to thing. He enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles. Most of the time if you went to see him he'd have a bike in his living room and milk crates full of parts scattered around. He knew where
every piece was and where it needed to go. Bobby loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister Clara Martin.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his son Rob Childress and wife Janice of Tulsa; his brothers James Childress of Fredericksburg, TX and Andy Childress and wife Pat of Gore, OK; his sister Barbara Childress of
Fayetteville, AR; and 2 grandchildren Robby and Logan of Tulsa, OK. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
