Robert Jerome Hooper, born on April 6, 1982, in Tahlequah, OK, passed away on August 12, 2024, in his beloved hometown. He was a cherished son, brother, uncle and friend who brought joy to everyone around him.
Robert had a deep passion for reading and writing, often losing himself in the worlds created by his favorite authors. He loved listening to music, with a particular fondness for artists like OutKast, JDilla, The Roots, Modest Mouse, Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, and Wu Tang Clan. A devoted fan of basketball, Robert had an impressive knack for recalling statistics of NBA players and enjoyed collecting SLAM magazines. His love for cinema also shone through, as he frequently visited the movies and had a soft spot for Marvel films.
In his downtime, Robert could be found enjoying his favorite television shows, including "Breaking Bad," "The Wire," "The Sopranos," "The Good Place," "Parks & Rec," "The Simpsons," and "The Office." He had a particular fondness for comfort foods like lasagna, KFC, and Indian tacos.
Above all, Robert loved nothing more than spending time with his family, who were the center of his universe. He is survived by his mother, Denise; father, Terry; sisters, Cristine and Eva; and brothers, TJ and Nick. Also, survived by his nephew, Aiden; and nieces, Madison, Angeliqu, Dawatra, Huwaka and Gemma. Robert's warm spirit and unwavering love for his family will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
