Robert Smith

Robert Kent Smith the son of Ted Smith and Imogene Tolson-Johnson was born May 1, 1956 in Hulbert, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 21, 2015 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years, 10 months and 20 days.

Robert enjoyed life and loved spending time outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing or just out on a drive on the back roads of Cherokee County looking at the countryside. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and would often have them over for a Bar-B-Que. He had a knack for smoking meat and loved sharing that talent with his family and friends. Robert worked many years laying floor coverings and he took great pride in his work and enjoyed what he did. Robert touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Samantha Smith; his sister Debera Smith and his sister-in-law Debra K. Smith.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his companion and caretaker Judy Horsley of Park Hill; his daughter Monica Smith of Tahlequah; his sister Mary Lou Cole and husband David of Tahlequah; his brothers Tommy Smith of Hulbert and Teddy Smith and wife Ronda of Spokane, WA; and his grandchildren Trevor Payne, Logan Payne and Wynter Smith. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
