Robert (Bobby) Garza passed away on October 6, 2021 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He was born on March 4, 1960 in Yorktown, Texas to Cruz and Amelia Garza. He married the love of his life, Matilda (Juarez), on May 7, 1994 in Tahlequah, OK. They spent 42 years blissfully in love, before departing this world only 27 days apart.
Bobby always had jokes and love to share them. He never held a grudge. He may have grumbled about early weekend yard sale escapades with Matilda, but he always obliged. Bobby kept a well-manicured yard and put his heart into all he did. He could repair or remodel anything with the utmost care and detail. He loved to cook and grill, but if he wasn't cooking, he was always happy to be the taste-tester. He liked to keep his balance with a Diet Coke. There was often a cup of coffee in his hand, even if it was midnight. He loved his sweets. He enjoyed Tejano music, but annoying Matilda with his favorite songs may have been why. Many have been the beneficiary of his hard work, and his presence will be missed by all of them. Bobby loved his family fiercely, but he was a big softie for his 7 grandchildren. He was employed with Shady Grove Public Schools for 12 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Cruz and Amelia Garza, and wife, Matilda Garza.
Robert is survived by his children Robert Garza Jr. and wife Kellie; Esther Moore and husband Scott; Valerie Garza; and Erica Garza and husband Joshua; siblings Mary Helen Mungia and husband Jose, Marie L. Santos and husband Javier, Cruz Garza Jr. and wife Lynn, Eddie J. Garza and wife Rosie, Rosalinda Garza, Victoria Garza, Irene Garza, Velma Luna and husband Nick, and Tina Smith and husband David; grandchildren Robert (Travis), Felix, Kaylee, Kaleb, Caden, Natalie, and Naomi; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family, and countless friends who shall treasure his memory.
