Ronald Lobaugh

February 21, 1931 — July 25, 2020

Tahlequah

Ronald D. Lobaugh entered into the presence of his Lord & Savior on July 25, 2020. Ronald was born on February 21, 1931 to Marce & Iva (Adams) Lobaugh in Hollis, OK.

He married Regina Tincher on July 9, 1955.

When Ronald was very young the family moved to California where Ron started to school. The family later moved to Olton, Texas where Ronald attended school and worked with his Dad on the farm until he joined the Air Force at the age of 18 years. While Ronald was in the service, his family moved to Tahlequah where he met Regina while home on furlough.

Ron spent four year in the Air Force, the last 18 months in Germany before his discharge. When he was discharged, he returned to Tahlequah where he finished high school, then enrolled at Northeastern State College where he earned his Bachelor’s degree while working full time at the Post Office. He started working as a foot letter carrier, then advanced to window clerk then to Assistant Postmaster before retiring after thirty years of service.

On July 9, 1955 he and Regina were married, and after a few years, now having three sons, Ronald fulfilled his dream when he purchased a small acreage on the outskirts of Tahlequah. With his family he raised cattle, horses, and various other animals, but his favorite was his horses and he enjoyed horseback riding. He was able to go on several group trail rides. He also loved raising a big garden, especially tomatoes. He and Regina lived on that little farm for 52 & ½ years when his health began to fail and they moved to the Go Ye Village retirement center where he lived at the time of his death.

Ronald and Regina were members of the Tahlequah Bible Church for 45 years where Ronald served as Deacon, Elder, Sunday School teacher and on various committees including Pastor search committee. They later became members of Southside Baptist Church in Tahlequah, and for the past fourteen years at Park Hill Baptist Church.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Regina; his three sons, Darrell of Tahlequah, Dale (Misty), of Tahlequah, and David (Sue) of Tahlequah; six grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Norma Smith of San Benito, TX, and one brother James Lobaugh (Nellie) of Hillsboro, Oregon, his sisters and brothers in law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marce & Iva Lobaugh, one grandson, Aaron Lobaugh, one great grandson, Kash Aaron Rosson, three brothers, Cecil Lobaugh, Tom Lobaugh, and Garry Lobaugh.

Visitation will be held at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah on Wednesday, July 29, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Graveside services will be Thursday, July 30, at 10:00 AM at the Tahlequah City Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.

Special thanks to New Century Hospice for their loving care for Ron in his final days.
