Rudolph Bruner the son of Richard Bruner and Lizzie Leader was born August 8, 1930, in Holdenville, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 3, 2022, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 92.
He was a tuff one. He wasn't under any kind of doctors care or taking any medication other than maybe an Aleve after working in the yard. He has traveled the world with his oil field company. He was also a veteran of the Korean War. He served 6 years, 9 months and 14 days in th Navy; spending four years in Sea Service, mostly on a submarine. He was awarded ribbons that include the China Service Ribbon, the Navy Occupation Ribbon, National Defense Ribbon, United Nations, and Korean Service Ribbons. He loved his Football(Rams) and NASCAR. He made it to the finish line and ran a great race. We'll see you in the Winners Circle Pops. Love you and sure going to miss you.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Daniel Scott Bruner; his daughter-in-law Bridgette Bruner; his brothers Richard Bruner and Randolph Bruner; and his granddaughter Rachel Bruner.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his sons Terry Ray "Chief" Bruner and wife Sheri of Park Hill, and Dennis Bruner of Park HIll; the mother of his children Juanita Chilson of Tahlequah; his sister Jane Cazabat of Okmulgee; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the American Legion Post 15, 125 S Main St Muskogee, OK 74401.
