Russell David Hamilton of Chicken Creek passed away on February 23, 2021 at the age of 67 due to complication of his heart. He was born on April 3, 1953 the son of Roger David Hamilton and Jewell McKelvey (Blake) in Fort Sumpter, South Carolina.
Russell grew up in the areas around Oklahoma City and New Lenox, IL. After two tours in the Army, including Desert Storm he settled in Chicken Creek, OK. He drove a bus for Sparrow Hawk Camp on the river. He also drove trucks for OPC and KATS Transportation. He is missed by everyone he leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Hamilton and Jewell McKelvey (Blake) and sister Sheila Vega (Thurmond).
Survivors include his brother, Robert Hamilton of Sun City, AZ, nephews, David McDaniel of Siloam Springs, AR, Michael Gage of Chicago, IL, nieces, Sheila Gage of TN, Rosie Gage of Miami, OK, Jewell Thurmond of Park Hill, OK, Keri Hamilton of Youngtown, AZ, Rebecca Hamilton of Azusa, CA, and Rachel Hamilton of Lawndale, CA. Numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who also survive him.
