Our family would like to welcome you to the going home celebration of Samuel Todd James.
Samuel Todd James was born on April 19th, 1963 at Tahlequah City Hospital in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 25th, 2017 at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years, 5 months and 6 days.
He attended Tahlequah Public Schools and then entered his chosen profession in Entertainment. His greatest joy in life was hearing the laughter of others. One of his most outstanding trait was kindness. He had a big heart that was
full of love and compassion that was liberally given to everyone, especially, his family. He loved telling stories of his exploits from his journeys across America and telling jokes. He was not above pulling a few pranks on the unsuspecting
and thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them. He never met a stranger and he freely shared the gift of friendship. He definitely left his mark on the world around him, and will never be forgotten. His big tender heart will remain in
the memory of anyone that has crossed his path. He was always thinking of others and putting them first. He was generous to the point that he would have given his last penny or even his shirt off his back to anyone, if he thought they
needed it.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Harvey Arnold and Ina Mae Walker Pitts.
He is survived by his mother, Joy Lee James of the home; 2 sisters Sherrie Lee Benningfield and husband Joe of Kellyville, Oklahoma and Cindy Ann Stepp of Springfield Oregon; 1 brother Randy Walker James and wife Donna of
Tahlequah, Oklahoma; 3 nieces Leslie Beth Bell and husband Mark of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Julie Ina Shamel and husband Walt of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Lorrie Faith Merritt and husband George of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; 1 nephew
Gary Don Davis of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Great nieces and nephews Jacob, Caleb, Amber, Kelton, Rylie, Haden, Austin, Nathan, Jackson and Kelsie as well as many other friends and loved ones far too many too mention.
Although he will be dearly missed by all, He is now sitting at the feet of Jesus asking his many many questions with a big smile on his face and will one day welcome us all when we get to meet him there.
