Sharon Mays

Sharon Marie Mays was the daughter of Morris Finkelman and Grace Finkelman of Lodi, California. Born in Taft, California on June 14, 1942.

Graveside Service will be 10AM, Friday, January 22,2026 at Park Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Sharon (Finkelman) Mays was a retired Registered Nurse for many years, and obtained Bible College training in Lodi, California where Sharon began traveling to the Middle East in 1980 with Bible Students for further training. Sharon married Ronald E. Mays Sr. a Southern Baptist minister and missionary. They traveled extensively and became citizens of Israel doing volunteer missionary work for many years of their marriage. Sharon became a Bible teacher and taught in Israel and in the U.S. for fifty years. Most recently she became a newspaper columnist for Tahlequah Daily Press for their columns teaching on the Judeo-Christian Faith in Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God, Creator of the Universe, Lord of Hosts.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Ronald E. Mays Sr. She is survived by her children and stepdaughter: Robin Kelley Briceno of Ventura, California; Audrey Ann Lake of Nevada; and Sharyn Annette Raney of Clearlake, California. She is also survived by her sister, Rebecca Lee Coleman of Lodi, California and a niece and nephew. Sharon has 5 grandchildren and a greatgrandchild living throughout the U.S. and in service to our country in other parts of the world.
