Sheilah Guthrie

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sheilah Ladawn Guthrie, aged 57, who departed this life on May 22, 2025. Born on August 18, 1967, in Tahlequah, Sheilah was the beloved daughter of Foster Rotramel and the late Minnie Mae Chaiyadej.

Sheilah's zest for life was evident in her many passions; she had a love for travel that took her to beautiful places, and her compassion for animals reflected her kind spirit. She profoundly touched the lives of those around her, dedicating herself to being a caregiver to many throughout her life.

Sheilah is predeceased by her mother, Minnie Mae Chaiyadej; her brother, Tommy Poe; and her granddaughter, Autumn Covey.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family. She is cherished by her father, Foster Rotramel; her devoted husband, Damian Guthrie; and her children: Ben Covey, Noah Manus, Elijah Manus, Rachel Gay, and Kagen Knott. She is also survived by her sister, Rebecca Shull, and her cherished grandchildren: Warren Covey, Vada Gay, Hakoda Gay, Tojumah Gay, Melody Manus, and Evander Manus.

The family welcomes donations to a charity of your choice in Sheilah's name, honoring her lifelong dedication to caregiving and her love for animals. Sheilah's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her spirit will undoubtedly linger in the beautiful memories she gifted to her family and friends.
