Shelton (Jr.) Maxey

Shelton (Jr) Maxey from Tahlequah Ok passed away in Tulsa Ok on August 1st, 2024, The world said goodbye to a man who embraced life with passion and joy, Jr enjoyed spending time at the casinos, watching wrestling and sports, traveling to different places, spending time with his grandchildren and hanging out with family and friends. 

Jr was born on Nov 16th, 1967, in Tahlequah Ok to Gus Maxey and Carole Mae Maxey-Chism. Jr will be remembered for his wild and crazy lifestyle, but also his kind, loving and helpful spirit, Jr is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Thomas “Gray” Maxey, Christopher “Rolo” Miller, sister Kimberly Bolden and nephew Stanley Alexander.

Jr is survived by his loving wife Jeana of Stilwell, Ok. children Anitra Maxey of Muskogee, Aundra, Tiffany, and Demitrius Washington of Muskogee, Aarontasia McGee of Stilwell, and Jalisa Dundy of Fayetteville Ar. Nephew Brian Williams of Tahlequah, niece Geeaneka Gifford of Tahlequah, niece Tameka Alexander Mahone and sister Shirley Maxey of Muskogee, 12 grandchildren with numerous cousins and friends. 

A celebration of Jr’s life will be held in the coming days, where we will come together to honor his memory.
