Stanley Dobber Brown the son of Hoyt and Allie Mae Brown was born March 25, 1947 in Yakima, Washington and departed this life on November 29, 2014 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 4 days.
Stanley was raised in Sardis, Oklahoma and graduated High School in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life Juanita Baker in 1966. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 135, member of the Masonic Lodge Cherokee 10 and lifetime member of the Bedouin Mounted Patrol. Stanley was also in law enforcement for 24 years before retiring, he also work as an undersheriff for Cherokee County, an investigator for Stilwell Police Dept. and Park Ranger for Cherokee Landing. He was an active Shiner and supporter of the Shrines Hospital. He rode so the children could walk. His hobbies included horseback riding, fishing, hunting and just having lots of company. He enjoyed being around people. Stanley touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents his son Stanley Edward Brown and nephews Dave Sprouse and Darrell Hatcher.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of over 48 years Juanita Brown of the home his daughter Krista Smith and son Tony Smith, his grandchildren Cross Smith, Kyla Brown, and Jacob Brown his sister Ruth Sprouse and husband David, and brother Joe Brown and his wife Betty. Many friends and other relatives also survive him.
