Stephen Vann "Stikman" Jeffery, 72, of Park Hill, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, February 8, 2024.
Steve was born September 27, 1951, in Dennison, Texas, to the late Roy Lee Jeffery and Dovie Mae "Susie" Smithee Jeffery. He received his education in Tahlequah, where he graduated from Tahlequah High School, class of 1969.
Steve worked for Tahlequah Public Works Authority for 29 years, retiring from there in 2021.
He was a member of Carter Baptist Church in Park Hill. Steve was a family man and always enjoyed watching his grandkids play basketball, his grandson Chase play golf, and his granddaughter Kenlee competing at the rodeo. He was very proud of all of his grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
He was a dedicated rodeo cowboy and a seasoned bull rider. He was an avid deer hunter and golfer who also loved to camp, fish, go to the casino, and play cards with the guys on Wednesday nights. "Stikman" was full of life and will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Connie Nelson Jeffery (to whom he married September 28, 1984); two daughters, Misty and her husband Mike and Stephanie and her husband Justin; four grandchildren, Seth, Chase, Kenlee, and Harlee; one sister, Shelli Cheatham; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Roycelyn Stermer; and his father-in-law, Earl Nelson.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 12, 2024, 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Hart Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 13, 2024, 1:00 PM, in the Chapel of Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah. Interment will follow in Tahlequah City Cemetery.
