Steven Gourd

Steven Gourd the son of Jonas and Vivian Dreadfulwater Gourd was born April 12, 1950 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on December 7, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 25 days.

Steven graduated Hulbert High School in 1969. He went on to study at Cidadel Bible College in Ozark, AR and was ordained. He worked many years for Arkhola Concrete driving a concrete truck. He enjoyed playing music, studying his Bible and he had a passion for his church and preaching. He loved his family and enjoyed every moment that he was able to spend with them. Steven touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents a brother Rudy Gourd and nephews Russell Gourd and Eli Gourd.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his four sons: Shannon Gourd of Hulbert, Daniel Gourd and wife Lilly of Tahlequah, Randolph Gourd and wife Jeanna of Hulbert, and Michael Gourd and wife Laci of Lost City 8 siblings: Vera GourdNewman and husband Benny, Pamela Gourd, Leslie Gourd and wife Kay, Frances Arredondo and husband Richard, Tina Snow, James Gourd, Keith Gourd and Jennifer Gourd his eldest grandson Dustin Gourd 12 grandchildren, 5 nieces, and 4 nephews. Numerous other family members as well as his church family and many friends also survive him.
