Sylvia Pippitt

Sylvia Fern Pippitt, age 105 of Tahlequah, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at her home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the Go Ye Village Chapel with Pastor David Wiens officiating. Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City, Kansas.

Sylvia Fern Pippitt was born on July 24, 1917 to David and Eva (Jennings) Skinner. Sylvia was married to Neal Pippitt who preceded her in death. Sylvia worked as a switch board operator for Southwestern Bell in Dodge City, Kansas. The couple moved to the Tahlequah area in the 1970's. She was a member of the Cookson United Methodist Church. She loved traveling with her airstream, knitting, and sewing.

Survivors include her niece Beck and husband John Shumard of Maize, Kansas. Two very close friends, Mary Fairbanks and Becky Kawski. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter Dorothy Rawlings.
