Terry Lee Sisco the son of L.D. Sisco and Barbara Avery Fisher was born May 2, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 22, 2014 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 51 years, 2 months and 20 days.
Terry grew up on a dairy farm where he learned his strong work ethic at an early age. If you saw Terry, then you saw Terry smiling. He was always positive and lived his life to the fullest. The term larger than life fit him perfectly. Terry married the love of his life, Connie Crawford, on March 18, 1988 and from that day on his goal was to make her feel like the most important person on earth. He was successful in reaching that goal every single day of their 26 year marriage. He was extremely devoted to Connie and his children. He always put them first and was happiest when he was spending time with them or doing something for them. His children and granddaughter were his great pride and joy. On Fridays in the summer he and Connie would head out early to find garage sales and just spend the day together. During the school year he would be waiting for her at the gate to drive her to wherever that nights school ballgame was. Terry enjoyed playing golf, but even more he liked just being on the golf course. He enjoyed it so much that he found a way to make a living on the course by starting a deep tine aerification business. He was able to travel to beautiful golf courses all over the state and made many lifelong friends in the process. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He was an early riser and loved being up and out on his front porch to see the sun come up each day. He had a knack for smoking meat and loved to get some meat on the smoker and get everyone together. His homemade barbeque sauce was always a big hit and he would keep several bottles on hand to send home with people. Terry never met a stranger and touched many lives through the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father his motherinlaw Gladys Crawford and Alby and Sylvia Matlock who were very dear to him.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Connie of the home in Tahlequah his mother Barbara Fisher of Skiatook his children Mitchell Lee Sisco and wife Lauren of Tahlequah, Erin Elizabeth Sisco and Richard Price of Oklahoma City, and Cameron Crawford Sisco of Tahlequah his brother Gary Sisco and wife Desma of Baxter Springs, KS his sisters Janice Zimmerman and husband Larry of Catoosa, Connie Austin of Joplin, and Shelly Nichols of Skiatook his granddaughter Lily Kay Sisco and two special aunts Joy Ramer and Nancy Davenport.
