Theresa Lynn Wasson, March 1,1954 - August 7, 2024

Theresa Lynn Wasson, born on March 1, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Earl and Ruby (Sellers) Green, she departed this life on August 7, 2024, at the age of 70. Theresa was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, whose love and kindness touched the lives of many.

Throughout her life, she took on many roles, including spending many years as an over-the-road truck driver-a job she was proud of and one that allowed her to explore the open road. She worked various jobs throughout her life, always with dedication and a strong work ethic.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ruby (Sellers) Green, and her sister, Glenda Green, all of Tahlequah.

Theresa's legacy is marked by the boundless love she had for her family. She was not only a mother and grandmother to her own children and grandchildren but also to many others who were blessed by her love and kindness. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Theresa is survived by her children: Anthony Blood and wife Connie of Tahlequah; Kimberly Loffer and husband Eric of Collinsville, OK; Teanna Newquist and husband Scott of Locust Grove, OK; Cierra Stokes of Keys; Haley Stokes of Tahlequah; Kessa Stokes of Salina, and Jeffrey Newquist of Tahlequah. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, sisters Earlene Burkholder of Wichita, KS, Rhonda McGuire of Bartlesville, OK, and brother Earl Green Jr. of Park Hill, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Theresa enjoyed spending her time gardening--whether it was tending to her vegetable garden, caring for her flowers, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature. She also found joy in sewing, painting, cooking and working in her yard. Vacations at the beach were some of her favorite moments, where she could relax and enjoy the serenity of the ocean.

A memorial service to honor Theresa's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 24, 2024, at Carter Baptist Church, 21521 E. 843 Rd, Park Hill, Oklahoma. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate and honor the life of Theresa Lynn Wasson, a woman whose love for her children and grandchildren knew no limits or boundaries and whose spirit will forever shine in our hearts. Her memory and the motherly love she shared so generously will be cherished by all who knew her.
