Thomas Mills

Thomas Warren Mills JR., age 66, passed away peacefully on Dec. 14, 2020 in Tahlequah, OK. He was born on June 10, 1954 to the parents of Thomas and Lillian Mills in Shidler, OK. He lived in Iowa, Kansas, and Oklahoma y, where his parents settled on a farm in Watts, OK.

Tom attended NSU for 1 year then transfered to OSU to complete his degree in Bachelor of Science Education. He received his recertification from NSU. He was a jack of all trades. He was a teacher, welder, truck driver, office manager, and a roadside agent for C3 in Tahlequah where he's been for the past 16 years. He was also a devoted son, loving father of 5 children, ornery brother, fun uncle Tommy, and cool grandpa. He never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with just about anybody about just about anything.

Tom married Cecilia Roark in May 1998. He was married for 8 years before her passing in 2006. They became members at FBC of Tahlequah in April of 2000. He was baptized by Rev. Ron Rice on June 4, 2000. He continued on there to serve as chairman of Building and Grounds. He also served on finance, kitchen, and Usher committees.

He was survived by 2 daughters and their spouses. Ashley and Josh Perceful, Katie and Sammy Hopper. 2 sons Ryan Hosley and Alex Mills. Son in law Kelly Downing, mother Lillian Mills, sister and spouse Gisele and Joe Nance, brother in law Charles Hardbarger, granddaughter Chloe Downing, grandson Tyler Brooks. He was also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Cecilia Mills, daughter Lindsey Downing, father Thomas Mills SR, brother Lloyd Micheal, and sister Angie Mills Hardbarger. He will be loved and missed by many.
