Timothy Patrick Murphy the son of Calvin E. and Alta (Norman) Murphy was born November 16, 1944 in Tacoma, Washington and departed this life on October 18, 2017 in Park Hill, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 2 days.
Tim devoted his life to his family, and nothing brought him more pride. He was a fun-loving man who lived his life to the fullest and always had a joke to tell. His hobbies included making sausage and wine, smoking meat, buying restoring and selling meat equipment, upholstery, restoring classic cars, building model planes, collecting Leprechauns, shamrocks and all things green! He also enjoyed reloading ammo as much as unloading ammo. There really was nothing the man didn't know, and he was happy to share his knowledge with others.
Tim was a member Meat Cutters Union, Epsilon Pi Tau, Chevy Club of America, Buick Club of America, Antique Auto Club of Fort Smith, The Clan Macneil Associations of America," Mid-American Old Time Antique Autos (MOTAA), a founding member of the 5Cs Car Club, the Belted Galloway Association and the D.A.V. Tim served in the Army during the Viet Nam war and was honorably discharged.
Tim's education included the Tripoli Boys Boarding School, Tripoli, Lebanon, Diablo Valley College, a 2-year apprenticeship for meat cutting, a job he loved dearly. Tim attended Northeastern State University and OSU-Tech, Okmulgee. He was most proud of earning his master's degree from Blarney University and has the T shirt he got to prove to prove it!
Tim was a man who lived by his word and stuck by his friends closer than a brother. He touched many lives through the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Calvin E. Murphy Jr. and Michael A. Murphy Sr.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Nina Murphy of the home; his children Timi Lee Murphy-Wyman and husband Daniel of Park Hill, Dan Murphy of Missoula, MT, and Matt Murphy and wife Jacy of Park Hill; his sister Anitra West and husband Gary of Longmont, CO; his brother Byron Lenerose and wife Marquita of Canyon, TX; and 6 grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
