Tommy G. Barnett the son of T.L. and Grace (Boss) Barnett was born February 10, 1936 in Elm Springs, Arkansas and departed this life on July 12, 2017 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 2 days.
Tommy enjoyed life and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed traveling and was the "Master of the Big Loop". He loved national parks and traveled to nearly all of them west of the Mississippi. He was quite an entrepreneur and he
began by raising chickens and cattle, throughout the years he also managed a Co-op, owned and operated his own feed store, mini-storage, video store, service station, and rental properties. He was a Mr. Fixit. He loved to fish, travel, and write stories about family happenings. He and his wife Betty spent several summers as campground host in Quemado, NM. Tommy touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Rick Barnett; his daughter Cheryl Diane Barnett; and his brother Phillip Barnett.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of over 62 years Betty June Barnett of the home; his sons Lynn David Barnett and wife Monica of Tahlequah and Royce Dale Barnett and wife Renae of Bartlesville; his sisters Pearl Hamm of Keota and Dot Tichner and husband Jack of Dallas; his brothers Bob Barnett and wife Bonnie of Atlanta and Jerry Barnett and wife Dona of Tontitown; his daughters-in-law Dottie Barnett of Strang, OK and Terasa Barnett of Coweta; his sister-in-law Cassandra Barnett of Little Rock; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
