Vera Lou Forrest the daughter of Jess and Ruth (Rogers) Wolf was born July 24, 1932 in Rose, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on February 2, 2015 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 9 days.
Vera was a hard worker and could do just about anything that needed doing around the farm, from taking care of the cattle to planting the garden, and anything in between. She enjoyed gardening and could grow a great garden, but she had a true green thumb when it came to her flowers. She loved her flower garden and the beauty that her hard work produced. One of her passions was quilting. She enjoyed quilting and made several beautiful quilts over the years. Vera loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids and watching the legacy left by her and her husband Jr. Forrest instilled throughout the generations. She was a member of Exciting Southeast Baptist Church. Vera touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jr. Forrest; her sons Carl Ray Forrest, Herman Lee Forrest and Floyd Forrest; 1 sister and 2 brothers.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Gerald Wayne Forrest and wife Sharon of Lowery, Steve Forrest and wife Flora of Lowery and Pat Forrest-Daubs and husband Curt of Warner; her daughters-in-law Sharon Kay Forrest of Fairland and Donna Forrest of Copan; her sisters Aliene Brothers of Little Rock, AR, Ruby Harris and husband Chuck of Carbondale, IL and Virginia Chancellor and husband Vernon of Kenwood; her brothers Lowell Wolf of Salina, Jack Wolf and wife June of Salina and Willard "Pete" Wolf and wife Nadine of Wichita, KS; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
