Vickie Daniels

Vickie L. (Hakes) Daniels, 72, a resident of the Shady Grove community passed away on Monday, December 09, 2024. She was born on February 2, 1952, to Lonnie Hakes and Wanda (Smith) Hakes in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Vickie attended Hulbert High School, graduating in 1970. She married Jerry Daniels on June 7, 1974, and celebrated 50 years of marriage this year. Vickie worked in banking for 44 years, starting at First State Bank of Hulbert. She not only experienced many technological changes but several name changes of the bank. Vickie was well known for her mentoring and training new employees as well as assisting many banking customers through the years.

Funeral Service will be 10 AM, Monday, December 16, 2024 at Hart Funeral Home, burial will take place at 12:30 PM at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 2 PM until 4 PM.

Vickie's favorite hobbies were watching Jeffrey race cars, Jadon (grandson) race go-carts and Jorja (granddaughter) compete in rodeos. To say they were the "light of her life" would be an understatement.

Vickie was preceded in death by her dad, Lonnie Hakes, brother, Dean Hakes, father and mother-in-law, Vernon and Pauline Daniels, sister-in-law's, Frances Howard, Patsy Daniels, Annette Hakes, and brother-in-law, Bill Howard.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Daniels, son, Jeffery Daniels, grandchildren, Jadon Daniels, and Jorja Daniels, mother, Wanda Hakes, brother, Danny Hakes, sister, Janet Hakes Barnes, brother-in-law, Howard Daniels, brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Daniels and Bell Daniels and Raymond and Sherry Daniels, nieces, nephews, former co-workers, and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Terry Foster ,Chris Jenkins, Dan Allan Hakes, Ron Daniels, Carl Wayne Daniels, and Mark Martin.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Dean Kilpatrick , Danny Hakes, Chris Daniels, Raymond Daniels, Carl Daniels, and Howard Daniels.
