Vida Rose

Vida Beatrice Rose the daughter of Henry Anderson and Sarah Lina (McGuire) Long was born March 30, 1933 in Keota, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 24, 2017 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 26 days.

Vida loved her family and taking care of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren brought her the most happiness. She enjoyed gardening, and embroidery. She loved to sing and listen to gospel music. Vida touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Orville Rose; her sons Michael Rose and Larry Rose; her brothers John Long and James Long; her sisters Maudie Dix, Roxie Gainey and Inez Robinson; and her grandchildren Justin Rose, Jennifer Rose, Jerry Rose and Jace Tinnin.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Roy Rose and wife Penny of Hulbert, Troy Rose and wife Janet of Lowery, Stanley Rose and wife Karen of Locust Grove, Ina Trammel and husband Gerald of Moody and Ikey Rose and wife Sue of Tahlequah; her sister Mable Battenfield of Miami; 28 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her
