Violet Chambers

Violet June (Ruth) Chambers passed away peacefully at home at the age of 92 with her loved ones by her side.

She was born in Henryetta, OK, on Jan. 16, 1933 to Vera (Rosbrugh) Ruth and Jesse Ruth.

Graveside service will be 11 AM, Tuesday, March 11,2025 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home from 9 AM until 10 AM.

After the loss of her father at an early age, her family grew into a blended family with 12 siblings. With a large family and limited resources, Violet was always great help with her younger brothers and sisters. She was very proud of them all and later in life, loved to gather and reminisce with stories of their youth.

Violet married Ralph Chambers on Jan. 20th, 1951 in Sapulpa, OK and cherished 54 years of marriage before his death in 2003. They suffered tragedy early on in their marriage, but they learned to lean on each other and their faith during trying times. They went on to experience so many joyous occasions in their marriage and life together. She never stopped longing for and missing Ralph after his passing.

The bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11, was something Violet relied on and gave her strength when facing difficult situations.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future" There isn't a promise to immediately rescue us from hardship or suffering, but rather a promise that God has a plan for our lives and regardless of our current situation, he can work through it to prosper us and give us hope.

Violet had so many talents and life skills that she shared with those she loved. She could always make something out of nothing. She was a role model of strength, dedication and love for so many people.

She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
