Virgil Stacy

Virgil Stacy, longtime Shady Grove area resident passed away Thursday November 5, 2015 at his home. He was 89 years of age.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday November 10, 2015 in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cleatis Jones, Pastor, Gum Springs Community Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Hendricks Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.

Virgil was born January 21, 1926 in Wagoner, OK to Arvil and Lottie (Eden) Stacy. Virgil was raised by his mother and step father, George Wilson. Virgil married Charlene Roberts on September 1, 1950 in Sand Hill, OK near Wagoner. The couple was blessed with four children. The family moved to Tahlequah in 1966 where he operated Stacy's exterminating until 1978. He also operated Stacy's Wrecker and Salvage for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his children, Norma Rice, Melinda McManes, Vernon Stacy and his wife Shelia and Kenneth Stacy and his wife Wadana, all of Tahlequah; ten grandchildren, Stephanie Portilloz and husband Dennis, Chris Horton, Brandon Horton and wife Jennifer, Robie McManes and wife Kim, Amanda Warden and husband Jasper, Alina Kelley and husband Mitchell, Janet Thornton, Jessica Bannon and husband Brent, Nicole Eisdorfer and husband Seth and Jeni Stacy; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Charlene and his parents.
