Virginia Alberty

Graveside services for Virginia Lee Alberty will be held Wednesday November 28, 2018 at 11 am at the Tahlequah City Cemetery with Bro. David Jones officiating. Interment will follow under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.

Virginia Lee Alberty the daughter of Jerry and Ora (Luna) Sparks was born June 15, 1936 in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 24, 2018 in Hulbert, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 9 days.

Virginia loved her family and enjoyed every moment she spent with each one of them. She enjoyed gardening and was known to grow some killer tomatoes. Cooking and baking were things that she excelled at. She would bake desserts fit for a fine restaurant and she enjoyed making them for her family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. She could do just about anything she wanted to. Virginia touched many lives over the years and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard Alberty; her son Richard Lee Alberty; and her siblings Raymond Sparks, Jess Sparks, JB Sparks, Maxine Chaffin and Clifford Allen Sparks.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her daughters Karen Jackson and husband Bruce of Sand Springs and Kathy Dill and husband Carl of Hulbert; her sisters Jerry Denny and husband Darrell of Terrell, TX and Dora Jenkins of Hulbert; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
