Albuquerque- Vivian White Lewis, a resident of the Albuquerque area for the last eight years, passed from this earth Monday, October 10, 2016 at Shannon Memorial Hospital in San Angelo, Texas.
Born June 18, 1936 in Tahlequah, O.K. to Walter T. and Lena Mae White, she was the second of three children. In 1952, Vivian met and married Hubert "Bud" Lewis who was serving in the US Army. Leaving Tahlequah for
Fort Polk, LA ignited her passion for travel. Many moves and two children later they settled in Killeen, Texas. In 1978, Vivian opened her electrolysis and cosmetology studio. In addition to her career, Vivian was very active
in the American Business Women's Association, The Society of Clinical & Medical Electrologists, and The Association of Texas Electrologists; serving as ABWA National President and International President for SCME.
After retiring in 2008, she closed her business and moved to Albuquerque, NM to live with her daughter and start her new adventures. These included making and selling jewelry at local centers and shows; shopping; traveling;
and spending time with family.
She is survived by her son Hubert "Buddy" Lewis Jr. and his wife Reyna of Hutto, TX; her daughter Gayle Lewis-Bennett and her husband Donald Bennett Jr. of Albuquerque, NM. Her grandson Edward Lee Watkins Jr.
and his wife Brandi of Temple, TX. Her grandson Paul Watkins and his wife Alexis of Albuquerque, NM. Her six great-grandchildren; Triniti, Colter, Tre, Brydon, Bethani, and Emmili. And numerous nieces and nephews
living in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
