Warren Davis

July 7, 1919 — March 10, 2018

Nathaniel Warren Davis was born in Laurel, Mississippi on July 7, 1919 to David Warren Davis and Anna Danley McClure.

He was a 1944 graduate of Wheaton College and married Norma Jewett on July 27th, 1946. For decades they served the Lord together, pioneering two mission stations among the Navajo in New Mexico and Arizona, and then joining a linguistic team that completed the translation of the Bible into Navajo, as well as subsequent revisions. They were also part of publishing a Navajo hymnal. They retired in 2000 and moved to Go Ye Village in Tahlequah, OK. Warren's faith in Christ became sight on March 10, 2018 when he passed from death to eternal life.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his son, David Paul Davis. He is survived by his daughter Pam (David) Criger of Hernando, MS; three grandsons, Paul (Brandy) Criger of Lebo, KS, Tim (Lisa) Criger and Joel (Camon) Criger of Longmont, CO; six great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.
