Wesley Drywater

Wesley Dewayne Drywater the son of Ross Allen and Josephine (Dreadfulwater) Drywater was born June 29, 1960 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on June 3, 2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 5 days.

Wesley enjoyed life and loved his family. He was very proud of is Cherokee Heritage and enjoyed practicing skills passed down through generations such as making arrows and arrowheads, beadwork, PowWow dancing and other artwork as well. He enjoyed watching wrestling on TV and collected several figurines. He was a boxer as a young man and enjoyed the sport. Spending time with his son was the most cherished time to him. Wesley touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers Jess Drywater and Allen Drywater.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his son Brandon Drywater of Tahlequah; his brother August Drywater of Stilwell; and his sisters Gloria Dreadfulwater of Dallas, Dora Dunn of Tahlequah and Novaline Drywater and husband Graig Steeley of Tahlequah. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
