Willard Gute

Willard Wayne Gute the son of Joseph and Mabel (Hebbel) Gute was born October 17, 1922 in Glidden, Iowa and departed this life on October 25, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years and 8 days.

Wayne loved the Lord and gave him praise and honor for everything in his life. He and Kitty served in Guatemala as missionaries for over 38 years. After retiring they enjoyed traveling. Wayne loved people and would help anyone.
He was a reader and was always learning to do new things. Wayne could play a mean game of dominoes if you were up to the challenge. Wayne touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.


He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Kathleen Gute; and his brothers Russell Gute and Warren Gute.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Esther Claus and husband David of Woodway, TX, Daniel Gute and wife Diann of Calumet, IL, Rebecca Gute of Goshen, IN, and David Gute Celebration, FL; 8 grandchildren and
9 great-great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
