May 8, 1938 — September 22, 2021

William C. Cooper the son of Jack and Lucille Cooper was born on May 8, 1938, in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 22, 2021, in Checotah, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 14 days.

Bud was a family man. He loved his family dearly. He married the love of his life, Jackie Raley, on March 24, 1958. He loved Jackie with all of his heart and for over 63 years they have never been apart. Not only did Bud love his family, he loved the Lord and served him daily. He enjoyed going to church and going to church singings. He loved his children, but he found a whole new love when the grandkids came along. They became the sparkle in his eye. That sparkle brightened even brighter when the great grandkids and great-great grandkids came along. Bud touched many lives over the years and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers and sisters.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of over 63 years, Jackie Cooper of the home; his children Timi Sue Decker and husband David of Tryon, OK, Hope Gritts and husband Jody of Tahlequah, Carmen Kester and husband Tim of Rio Rancho, NM, Joey Cooper and wife Shanda of Overland Park, KS, Mitchell Cooper and wife Tamissa of Checotah, and Erica Cooper and companion Cole Hanson of Checotah; 1 brothers and 2 sisters; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
