William Petitt

William Martin Petitt the son of Martin and Mabel (Reed) Petitt was born December 10, 1936 in Qualls, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 28, 2017 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 18 days.

William enjoyed life and loved his family. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Arts and taught woodshop for many years and then taught Elementary and Junior High School. He taught for over 30 years but finished his teaching career at Dahlonegah Public Schools where he taught for over 20 years before retiring. He enjoyed ranching and working on the farm. He loved going to the Ag shows and he spent a lot of time at the auctions. His favorite place to go was Charlie's Chicken. William touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Andy Petitt.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Brian Petitt and wife Terresa of Broken Arrow, Ricky A. Petitt of Qualls, and Leon D. Petitt and wife Lisha of Broken Arrow; his grandchildren Ashlee West and husband Dustin, Brandon Petitt, Justin Petitt, and Lindsay Petitt and his friend and mother of his children Sue Powell. Numerous cousins, friends and other relatives also survive him
