Adonica Smith

Graveside services for Adonica “Dawnie” Lee Smith will be held on August 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Moodys Cemetery in Moodys, Oklahoma. Adonica was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on July 16, 1969, to Gary and Bettie (Cole) Smith and passed from this world on August 16, 2021, at the age of 52 years and 1 month.

Dawnie is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lewis and Martha Lou (Thompson) Cole; paternal grandparents Virgil and Mary Evalyn (Scott) Smith; and her father, Gary Smith.

Those left to cherish Dawnie’s memory are the love of her life Darryl Cypert of the home, her mother Bettie Smith, 2 brothers Chris Smith and wife Laura of Park Hill, Steven Smith and wife Katina of Tahlequah, 1 sister Kendrae Drake and husband Todd of Coweta.  Dawnie leaves her nieces Harley Herring, Destiny Smith and Kanon Drake, and her nephews Hunter Smith, Hayden Smith and Everton Drake.  Her Nieces and Nephews had a huge special place in Dawnie’s life and they will miss her terribly.

Dawnie was a special kind of person with a big heart that she wore on her sleeve and she was someone who was always willing to help anyone she loved who was in need.  Dawnie loved animals and always had a lot of them to surround her.  Dawnie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
