Brenda Martin

Brenda Louise Martin the daughter of Herman Martin and Marie (Lawhead) Lett was born December 28, 1960 in Vinita, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 20, 2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years, 8 months and 23 days.

Brenda was raised in Vinita, Tahlequah and Tulsa. She was a hard worker and did her very best to make a way for her and her son. She loved her family and enjoyed life. She liked to go fishing, she enjoyed playing spades and dominoes, and she could cook. She enjoyed re-arranging things; she didn't like for things to stay the same too long. She enjoyed dancing or "Shaking it" as she called it and going clubbing. With the Tahlequah Candy Girls at Reflections was a favorite place. She also enjoyed taking road trips to Kansas City to visit friends and family. Brenda was one of a kind and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herman Martin and Sally Marie Lawhead; her sister Maryann Sanders and her brother John "Sonny" Lawhead and Leo Joe W. Collins.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her son John Leo Martin(JoElla); her sister Leona Martin; her nephews Jughead Dave Ellis Wilson and Tony Allen; and her grandkids Devonte, Preston Welch, Kymber Tyon, Destin Martin, Xavier Carter, Rhylee Carter and Tavery Martin. Several friends and other relatives also survive her.
