Donald Ross

Donald Ray Ross the son of Wallace Ross and Ada (McNack) Vann was born October 4, 1930, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on October 24, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years and 20 days.

Donald was a patriot and a proud American. He proudly served in the United States Army for over 20 years. He then worked as a New Jersey Corrections Officer before retiring all together and moving back home to Tahlequah. Donald loved his family, and he enjoyed watching westerns, fishing or just going places with his family. He was a member of the St. Brigid's Catholic Church where he was very involved in different ministries and activities. Donald left an impression on everyone he met and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lois Ross; his children James Ross and William Ross; and his brother Thomas Jean Ross.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Yolette Ross of Tahlequah, Richard Ross of Riverside, CA, Rosemarie Flippen of Wilson NC, Leon Ross of St. Petersberg, FL, Anthony Ross of Newark, DE, and Ada Cook and husband Wallace of Phoenix, AZ; 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
