Gc Hopper Jr.

October 16, 1958 — September 16, 2022

G.C. Hopper Jr. Born on October 16th 1958, in Aransas Pass, Texas. G.C. spent a lot of his life in Roswell, NM and most recently called Tahlequah, Oklahoma his home. He is the son of G.C. Hopper, Sr. and Wanda Hopper.

G.C. Is one of 10 siblings, which includes: Lonita, Kay, Betty, Mary, Margaret, Debbie, George, name removed, Kenny, and a bonus brother Coy. G.C. was better known as "Sam" by his family and friends but he also went by "Dad." He was a loving, caring, and passionate father to one son, G.C. Hopper III. Sam was also Father-in-Law to Kathleen Hopper; grandfather (Papa) to Tyler; and uncle to many, to name a few: Lacie, Ashley, Kayleigh, Harlee, Candice, Jason, Deanna, Lawanda, Johnny, Lori, and Chrissy, Amber, and Jessie. Sam loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, boating, westerns, gardening, spending time with family and working. Even after retirement, he always would found something to work on, to keep him busy. He was proud of his work and 27 years as a roofer. Sam also loved his cowboy boots and his hats and a lot of people never have seen him without them on.

Most importantly, what made Sam so amazing, is his dedication to his son. Sam raised his son from the time Sammy was 2, as a single father. He worked very hard to provide not only the needs but also the wants of his son. He put himself through blood, sweat, pain, and never complained one time, as long as it was for his son. Sam dedicated his life to being the best father possible, and did a fine job doing it. Sam also had another baby, a German Shepherd named Tinkerbell. The both loved each other so much. If Tinkerbell didn't see Sam for even one day, she wouldn't eat until he called her.

G.C. will be forever missed and always have a place in many hearts. We Love You Always.
