Gavin Lee Potts the son of Erryl Lee and Anita (Heter) Potts was born May 6, 1966 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on February 24, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years, 9 months and 18 days.

Gavin was a free spirit who enjoyed music, history, and collecting coins and old guns. His love for music was vast, but his favorite group was the Grateful Dead. He was a history buff and his collecting of coins and guns was centered around the history of them. He was an automotive technician by trade, and he enjoyed working on cars and going to car shows. He enjoyed traveling, going camping and visiting Silver Dollar City. He loved his dogs, and they were a big part of his life. Gavin enjoyed a little cannabis on occasion. What meant the most to Gavin in his life was his family and friends. The friendships that he had he held dearly, they meant a lot to him, and he loved his friends and family greatly. Gavin touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father Erryl Lee Potts.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Carla Potts; his mother Anita Potts and Tahlequah; his children Devin Potts and Amber Potts of Tahlequah; and his grandchildren Cadence Shackelford and Camden Shackelford. Many friends and other relatives also survive him.
