Harold Bruce Fisher the son of Harold O. Fisher and Fern (Thompson) Alexander was born December 29, 1942, in Lafayette, Louisiana and departed this life on December 2, 2020, in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 3 days.Bruce enjoyed life and loved his family. He enjoyed fishing, especially tournament fishing. He was a competitor and wrestled his way through college at OSU. He graduated and began his career as a coach and teacher. Sports was a big part of Bruce's life, especially the sports his grandsons were involved in. He taught them all how to wrestle and even fish Bass Tournaments. Bruce had many accomplishments over his near 38 year career. Bruce coached at Sequoyah in the 1960's and started the Wrestling program there and the Maverick Conference. He coached many champion wrestlers and teams at Sequoyah. He then went to Hulbert High School where he coached football, wrestling and track. He coached the first ever State Champion track star at Hulbert. He loved his years at Hulbert and the people there became like family. During his career he had over 300 wins in wrestling and was nominated to the coaches Hall of Fame in 2020. Bruce touched the lives of so many over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dana John Fisher.He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of over 55 years Sharon Kay Fisher of the home; his children RB Fisher, Karie Whaler and husband Ron and Ryan Fisher and wife April all of Tahlequah; his sister Kym Fisher of Ponca City; 6 grandchildren Josh Fisher, Jake Fisher, Jase Fisher, Dillon Stanley, Daniel Stanley and Gunnison Fisher and 1 great-grandchild Jett Fisher. Several nieces, nephews, former athletes, friends and other relatives also survive him.
