John Girdner

John William Girdner the son of John and Rachel (Cricket) Girdner was born December 23, 1950, in the Barber Community and departed this life on October 13, 2020, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 20 days.

Bill John, as he was known, was a good old down to earth country boy who enjoyed the outdoors and loved his family. He enjoyed front porch sitting, hunting and fishing. He was proud of his roosters, and he has raised several over the years. As much as he loved his roosters, he loved his family even more. He loved spending time with his grandkids and watching them play sports. Bill John enjoyed watching the Little League World Series, he liked to watch the kids play for the love of the game. He enjoyed rodeos and watching Bonanza, Gunsmoke and anything John Wayne. His family was most important to him, and he loved them all. Bill John left an impression on everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Sadie Long, Patty Girdner and Rachel Girdner; and his brothers Jerry Paul Girdner, Harold D. Girdner, and Gerald Girdner.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife LeiLani Ruth Girdner of the home; his children Marnie Ahmed and husband Mohammed of Keys, Bub Girdner and wife Bobbie Sue of Stilwell, Melissa Girdner of Caney Ridge, Marc Girdner and wife Marquita of Caney Ridge, Margaret Ragsdale of Ft. Gibson, Butch Phillips and wife Shannon of Stilwell and Jason Sparks of Woodall; his sisters Betty Cole of Tahlequah and Rita Wolfe and husband Bo of Stilwell; his brother Dale Girdner and wife Mary of Tahlequah; 28 grandchildren with one on the way and 24 great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
