Larry Pigeon

Larry Pigeon the son of Freeman and Julia (Bush) Pigeon was born September 23, 1956, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 16, 2020, in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years, 9 months and 23 days.

Larry loved life. He was a skilled athlete and excelled in softball and golf. He was a major sports fan, he loved WWE as well as the Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Boston Celtics and the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed working on golf courses and just being outdoors. He enjoyed spending his spare time golfing or fishing. He was very proud of his childhood growing up and his family heritage. He was fluent in the Cherokee language and enjoyed speaking in his native language. His family was very important to him, and he loved being with them. Larry touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Justin Pigeon and his brother Wayne Pigeon.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Jonathan Pigeon of Welling, and Mercedes Pigeon of Los Angeles, CA; his brothers Ronnie Pigeon and wife Carla of Locust Grove, Darryl Pigeon of Welling, and Benny Pigeon of Tahlequah; and his sister Kim Fields of Stilwell. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
