Margarett Arlene Thompson, passed away May 24, 2022 in her home with her family by her side. She was born December 13, 1946 to Perry (Sog) Fritts and Maxine Brannan Scott. She graduated from Tahlequah High School and then went on to attend and graduate from Mr. Darrell's Beauty College. She worked as a beautician, which she loved for over 55 years. She married Marvin Thompson on January 14, 1976. They lived in Siloam Springs, Arkansas for several years and eventually moved to West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. She was involved for many years in the Siloam Springs Riding Club and CRRA where she was a founding stockholder and queen pageant director. Margarett loved to cook large meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and canning and kept her kitchens busy trying new recipes. Margarett was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin Thompson, sister Debra Kelley, daughter Rhonda Weir, Son-in-law Robert Weir, and grandson Nicholaus Weir. She is survived by sons Marty Thompson (wife Andi) of West Siloam Springs, OK, Trey Thompson of West Siloam Springs, OK, and Franklin Strong of Tahlequah, OK. Daughter Marla Sappington (husband John) of Siloam Springs and Sister in law Bonnie Newton (husband Ray) of Gentry, AR. Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews and a host of friends and loved ones.
