Matilda Garza passed away on September 9, 2021 at her home in Hulbert, Oklahoma. She was born on March 14, 1960 in Karnes City, Texas to Juan and Catarina Juarez. She married the love of her life, Robert (Bobby) Garza, on May 7, 1994, in Tahlequah, OK. They spent 42 years blissfully in love.

Matilda had an incredible ability to negotiate prices at yard sales, and she could turn any container into a planter. She cooked the best fresh tortillas and rice. Matilda kept the family home spotless and perfectly decorated. She had the sweetest soul and shared her love with everyone in her life. She enjoyed watching and rooting for OU football. Matilda read her Bible every day. She was employed with Shady Grove Public Schools for 12 years. Matilda loved her family tremendously and especially enjoyed spending time with her 7 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Juan and Catarina Juarez.

Matilda is survived by her husband, Robert; her siblings Jose Juarez and wife Marta; Juan Juarez Jr; Diana Juarez; her children Robert Garza Jr and wife Kellie; Esther Moore and husband Scott; Valerie Garza and boyfriend Dillon; and Erica Garza and husband Joshua; niece Sierra Sanchez and son Jasiah; along with her grandchildren: Robert (Travis), Felix, Kaylee, Kaleb, Caden, Natalie, and Naomi. Her memory will be treasured by countless friends and extended family members.
