Nellie Matlock

Nellie Mae Matlock the daughter of Luther and Edna Mae (Davis) Deckard was born January 20, 1942, in Welling, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 10, 2021, in Welling, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 20 days.

Nellie was a homemaker and enjoyed her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved taking care of her grandkids. She enjoyed cooking and there was always something to eat at Nellie's house. She made the best peach cobbler and melt in your mouth cookies. Nellie married the love of her life, Lloyd Matlock, on June 10, 1957. She touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son James Troy Matlock; five brothers and one sister.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband of over 64 years, Lloyd Matlock; her children Earl Matlock and wife Joyce of Park Hill, Brenda Airehart and husband Robert of Welling, Randy Matlock and wife Tami of Welling, Jimmy Joe Matlock of Welling and daughter-in-law Donna Matlock of Welling; her brothers John Deckard, Bill Deckard, and Rick Deckard; her sisters Glenda Hodge and Jan Washington and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
