Richard Nolan Stanger of Hulbert, OK passed away on October 31, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born on April 21, 1939, the son of Oscar and Elda Stanger (Carry) in Mount Auburn, IL.

Richard was an all-around good family man who would do anything for anyone including serving his country at the age of 21 in The United States Army before discharge on June 1, 1961, in Fort Riley, KS. After returning home from the war, he married the love of his life; Linda Stover on May 16, 1989. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working around the place and messing around in his garden and building all sorts of different things. He was very resourceful and could do just about anything. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and music even putting on and running music shows with Linda in 2009 for the Muldrow Opry and Ozark Playground. Richard loved his family, and he enjoyed the family gatherings, because it gave him a chance to be with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored. He was one of a kind, and he touched many lives over the years and will be missed by all who knew him.

Richard was preceded in death by both parents, a son; Darrel Stanger, granddaughter; Elizabeth Fishburn and 14 siblings.

Survivors include his wife of the home; Linda, children; Rick Stanger, Jeremy Heiple and wife Melissa, John DeJaynes and wife Shannon, Shelly Craig and husband Joey, Steven Stanger, Kevin Stanger, Judy Stuhmer and husband Pat, Kathy Barton and husband Grover, Jodi Grieme, grandchildren; Lindsey Capps and husband Mac, Brandon Tyler, Jeremy Heiple jr, Jazmin Heiple, Christian Heiple, Sofia Heiple, Brandon Heiple, Zachary Stuhmer, Austin Stuhmer and wife Samantha, Moe Stuhmer, Alyssa Reitnauer and husband Matthew, Breanna DeJaynes, Adam Barton, Stacy Fortner and husband Rich, Dalton Stanger, Bella Stanger, great-grandchildren; Jazzlyn, Lillie, Emry, Madeline, Peyton, Tristan, Imani, Rhianna, sisters; Mija Phillips, Judy Alsbury as well as several nieces and nephews.
