Obituary

Roger Dale Ogle of Tulsa, Oklahoma was born on February 7,1944, in Cherokee County, Oklahoma to his parents Monroe and Lula Ogle and passed away April 6, 2021, at the age of 77 years and 59 days. He grew up with four brothers, James, Donald, Russell and Dennis and his sister, Norma Sue.

He attended school in the area and went to Tahlequah High School. He started playing sports of all kinds at an early age and continued to play all his life. Baseball, Football, Fast pitch Softball and Golf. He was good at all of them. He enjoyed the years of adventures and memories that were made with his softball and golf friends. He considered them Family.

In the mid-1960s he married the love of his life, Janice Lee McCall and the two moved to Tulsa and made that their home. Their family grew to include their children: Marcia, Stephen, Catherine.

Upon moving to Tulsa and starting their lives as newlyweds and parents, Roger began working as a carpenter and was self-employed for most of his career. He perfected his skills and was a much in demand cabinet and furniture maker. He worked until his early 70's. His work took him all over and has completed projects all over including at The Cherokee Casino, the BOK Center, and the Oklahoma State University Student Union. Just before retiring, He took a "real job" as Senior Vice President of Bearwood Native LLC.

During his later years he very much enjoyed spending time on his 55 acres on the creek, family land, with Janice, their kids and grandkids when they could visit. He was a good sport about Primitive Camping with the family, hiking the creek, and cooking over a fire, but he wasn't a fan of sleeping in a tent.

Roger is survived by his wife of the home, Janice, daughter, Marcia and her daughters Aubrey and Brenna, Son, Stephen, his wife Kelly and their children, Bailey, Kaitlyn, and Gavin. Daughter, Catherine, her husband Jason and their Children Gunnar, Quinn, and Ava, his brothers, James, Donald, Russell and Dennis along many nieces, nephews, family in-laws, and friends that became family who will miss him dearly.

Friends and family are invited to attend a pot luck out at Rogers place on the creek on May 29 at 11 AM in his honor.
