Ronald Joe Holden was born in Tahlequah, OK on March 13, 1951 to John and Anna Holden.  He passed away on August 21, 2021 at the Tahlequah City Hospital.

Joe moved back to Tahlequah area in the 1970’s and had lived here ever since.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandson Brenden and watching him play baseball and basketball, but he could not wait to watch his grandson play football.  He waited 11 years for that day.  Joe loved watching football, especially OU and the Denver Broncos.  He also played at Muskogee High and Haskell Indian Junior College.  Joe began a new interest, watching his son and grandson play Cornhole till the early morning hours.

Ronald Joe Holden is survived by his sons, Ronald and Littlestar Holden of Tahlequah, OK; grandchildren, Brenden and Allie of Welling, OK, Darren Christian and Jay Lynn of Tahlequah, OK, and a very special friend, Breanna Thompson, Joe Eric Holden and Samantha Galentine of Tahlequah, OK.  He is also survived by his sisters Tsa-Nina Duncan, Gloria Spybuck, and Louise Nordwall and one brother, James all of Tahlequah, OK.

He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  Joe was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Glory, his parents, his brother John, his nephew, Frank and sister in law, Glenda Holden, brother in law Jerry Long Sr.,

Brother, you touched some lives and will be deeply missed.  Journey Well.
