Sharon Kaye Gibson the daughter of Virgil and Louise (McGowan) Garner was born May 30, 1948, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 30, 2020, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years and 11 months.

Sharon Married the love of her life Bill, on December 6, 1962, and began their life together in Tulsa, Oklahoma where they resided for 9 years before returning to home in Tahlequah. Sharon loved her family dearly. She worked as an Optometry Assistant for Dr. Leonard Wilkins for over 19 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed the holiday season, especially Christmas where she would go all out for her family. She enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and seeing different parts of the world. She liked to sew and enjoyed going to craft fairs. Her grandchildren were dear to her, she loved watching them play ball, watching their Christmas plays, and any other activity they were involved in. Her heart was wrapped around her family. Sharon touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Junior Garner, Thomas Sonny Garner, Jerry Garner and Richard Garner; and her sisters Mary Whittle and Barbara Moore.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband of over 57 years Bill Gibson of the home; her children Billy Gibson and wife Shelly of Tahlequah, Bobby Gibson and wife Gloria of Tahlequah and Dana Combs and husband Terry of Tahlequah; her sister Lynda Hudson and husband Harvey of Wagoner; 8 grandchildren: Billy Dwayne Gibson, Derek Gibson, Cody Keys Jr., Nichole Moreno, Amber Wineinger, Casey Combs, Kelsey Combs and Colton Combs; and 9 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
