Dakota Blake Hiatt the son of Shelia (Shepherd) Uehlin and Rodney Hiatt was born September 25, 1993 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 1, 2023 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 29 years, 3 months and 9 days.
After graduating from Tahlequah High School Dakota attended Northeastern State University where he was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He pursued a career in Fiber Optic, and Heating & Air. Dakota was currently attending Information Technology classes at Indian Capitol Technology Center.
Dakota enjoyed life and he loved his family.
His children were the light of his life.
He was a lover of History and he enjoyed watching Documentaries and Science Fiction movies. He also held a passion for music and cooking and the spicier the better!
Dakota was a football fan, he loved the Arkansas Razorbacks and was known to lose his voice calling the hogs after every game. "WHOO PIG SOOIE!" He was a special guy with a huge heart who touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dakota was preceded in death by his Poppy Johnnie Shepherd; his aunts Verda Ratliff and husband Gene, and Brenda Stephens and husband Kenny; his uncle Dwight Shepherd; Memaw Norma Hiatt & Pa Orris Hiatt as well as his best friend Chase Cape.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his Mother Sheila Uehlin and Stepdad Jimmy of Tahlequah; his father Rodney Hiatt of Tahlequah his children Blakely Josephine Hiatt and John Brantley Hiatt both of Tahlequah; his sister Danielle Hiatt of Tahlequah; his brother Dalton Hiatt and wife Shelby and nephew KJ Burnett of Northwest Arkansas; his Nanny Carol Shepherd of Tahlequah; his paternal grandparents Bill and Dena Essner of Texas; his uncle Shaun Shepherd and wife Becky of Tahlequah; his cousins Tate and Jax Shepherd of Tahlequah; and his very special cousin and friend Tailor Crittenden of Tahlequah. Several other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other relatives.
